Privacy

Your data, on your device.

Stiver was built so you could track what you pay for without signing up for one more thing. Here's exactly what happens with your data.

What we collect

Nothing. Stiver has no accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics. We do not run servers that store your data. We do not log what you add, edit, or view.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter — item names, prices, renewal dates, notes, tags, logs — stays on your device in Apple's SwiftData store. If you turn on iCloud sync, your items are mirrored to your private CloudKit database inside your own iCloud account. Apple operates that infrastructure. We have no access to it, ever. Not read, not write, not metadata.

Secrets (license keys)

When you save a license key or other sensitive value for an item, it is stored in the iOS Keychain with the strictest accessibility setting (unlocked-this-device-only). It is protected by Face ID or your device passcode, never synced via iCloud Keychain, and never included in device backups. It stays on the one device where you entered it.

Notifications

Renewal reminders are scheduled locally by iOS using the times you pick per item. There is no push server. Nothing about your subscriptions is sent anywhere.

Currency conversion

When you mix currencies, Stiver fetches exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (European Central Bank data, no key required). The request sends no identifying information about you or your items — just an anonymous "what are today's rates" call, at most once per day. The response is cached on your device.

Third parties

None. No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising network, no social sign-in. Stiver ships with first-party Apple frameworks and the one anonymous network request described above.

Export and delete

Open Settings in the app to export everything as JSON. You can move that file to Files, iCloud Drive, or another machine. To delete your data, delete the app. There are no servers to also delete from.

Children

Stiver is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data. Since we do not collect data at all, this is true of everyone who uses the app.

Changes

If this policy ever changes materially, the app's next update notes will say so, and the date below will change.
